Traffic stop leads to DWI charges in Ontario

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of an Ontario man following a traffic stop on Thursday around 10:30 p.m.

Deputies arrested Theodore Demyda, age 60, of Ontario for failure to keep right and DWI.


He was stopped for crossing into oncoming traffic. During a traffic stop he failed field sobriety tests and deputies smelled alcohol coming from the vehicle.

He was processed and will answer the charges at a later date.
