First responders provided an update on a structure fire that took more than a half-dozen departments to put out in Ontario County.
On Thursday around 5 p.m. deputies responded to 3354 Algerine Street in Hopewell for the report of a structure fire. When deputies arrived they saw flames coming from the first floor of the single-family home.

Moments later the home was fully-engulfed causing substantial damage. The victim was offered assistance by the Red Cross, but no injuries were reported.
The incident was investigated by the Emergency Management Office and Ontario County Sheriff’s Office. Hopewell, Seneca Castle, Oaks Corners, Stanley, Hall, and Crystal Beach fire departments responded to the scene.
Algerine Street was shut down for approximately 5 hours. The investigation remains active.
