The AFC-leading Buffalo Bills (10-3) extended their win streak to four with a 20-12 victory over the New York Jets (7-6) on a snowy Sunday afternoon at Highmark Stadium. Buffalo has won 10 games for the fourth consecutive season.
It was an ugly first half as each team traded punts until late in the second quarter when Josh Allen connected with Dawson Knox for a 24-yard touchdown, breaking a scoreless tie and giving Buffalo a 7-0 lead at the half.
The scoring picked up as the Jets tied the game to open the second half. However, the Bills quickly regained the lead on Allen’s five-yard touchdown run. Later in the third quarter, Tyler Bass drilled a 38-yard field goal, extending Buffalo’s lead to 17-7 going into the final frame.
The Bills added to their lead early in the fourth quarter as Bass hit another field goal, a 49-yarder, to make it 20-7. New York blocked a punt, resulting in a safety, and kicked a field goal, but Buffalo held on and secured the win.
