The state’s Office of Cannabis Management has released updated guidance on retail sales in New York.
OCM says qualifying licensees can submit approval for their own proposed retail locations.
License holders who do not currently have a space can continue seeking one out, or utilize the existing state entity to find one.
Another new wrinkle? Delivery will be allowed for one-year from a warehouse while dispensary locations are being developed.
Customers will be able to place online or phone orders to the warehouses, but in-person sales will be forbidden at these locations.
Customers will be forced to pre-pay, too. No cash payments can be exchanged between customers and delivery workers. Those delivery workers will need to be 21 or older.
