The Syracuse Crunch (10-9-2-2) bounced back from Friday’s loss with a 5-1 victory over the Utica Comets (8-8-3-1) on Saturday night at the Upstate Medical University Arena.
Utica opened the scoring early in the first period, but Syracuse answered with five consecutive goals to secure the win.
Shawn Element, Cole Koepke, Darren Raddysh, Felix Robert, and Gage Goncalves scored for the Crunch. Gemel Smith tallied two assists, while Hugo Alnefelt turned aside 25-of-26 shots.
Both teams failed to capitalize on the power play as they each went 0-for-3.
The Crunch will be back in action on Friday, December 16, when they host the Springfield Thunderbirds.
