The Syracuse Orange men’s soccer team outlasted the Creighton Bluejays, 3-2, on Friday night in Cary, North Carolina, to advance to the NCAA National Championship for the first time in program history.
Levonte Johnson scored the game-winning goal in the 86th minute on a cross in the box from Nathan Opoku. The Orange fought off three Creighton corners in the final four minutes to secure the win.
Syracuse will face the winner of Pittsburgh/Indiana on Monday at 6 p.m.
