The Syracuse Crunch (9-9-2-2) had their two-game win streak snapped on Friday night with a 5-2 loss to the Toronto Marlies (14-8-1-0) at the Upstate Medical University Arena.
Alex Barre-Boulet and Gemel Smith scored for the Crunch. Darren Raddysh notched a pair of assists, while Hugo Alnefelt turned aside 23-of-26 shots.
Syracuse failed to capitalize on the power play as they finished 0-for-5 while going 3-for-4 on the penalty kill.
The Crunch will try to get back in the win column on Saturday when they host the Utica Comets. Puck drop is slated for 7 p.m.
