For the first time in three years, St. John’s hosted its annual Illumination of Love Ceremony. The festive holiday lighting event has been a tradition at St. John’s Home for more than two decades and had not been held in-person since 2019, due to the pandemic.
The fundraising event kicks off the season by illuminating the Skalny Courtyard at St. John’s Home for the holidays. St. John’s Home resident Angie Sinacore served as this year’s honoree to “flip the switch,” illuminating the courtyard while also raising money for the residents.
This year, 2,150 lights were purchased, resulting in $10,750 to benefit St. John’s residents.
The event serves as a fundraiser for St. John’s Foundation with lights around the courtyard available for dedication to honor or remember someone special. All proceeds will benefit the residents at St. John’s Home with programming and resources that support an active and engaged lifestyle.
