The New York Mets added some depth to their bullpen on Wednesday.
The club acquired veteran left-handed reliever Brooks Raley from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for pitching prospect Keyshawn Askew, the team announced.
Raley, 34, posted a 2.68 ERA over 60 appearances for the Rays last season, striking out 61 batters in 53 2/3 innings.
This move comes hours after New York signed veteran left-handed starting pitcher Jose Quintana to a two-year, $26 million contract.
