Minimum wage is headed up across the Finger Lakes region.

At the end of the month minimum wage will jump to $14.20 per hour. That’s a full-dollar increase from the current minimum wage.

However, that might not be the end of minimum wage hikes.

There’s been a renewed push by legislators to increase New York’s minimum wage to $21.25 an hour and tie it to inflation forevermore.

That process of getting minimum wage to over $20 an hour would be phased in similarly to the way the original minimum wage march to $15 was implemented.

Business groups have already condemned the move to increase minimum wage because of the impact it would have on the business community.
