Police report the arrest of a 66-year-old Canandaigua man following a knife attack on Saltonston Street.

Police say they were called to an address on Saltonston Street around 8:30 p.m. on December 2nd.

David Labarr, age 66, of Canandaigua is accused of stabbing and slashing the throat of a person at that residence.

They were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital due to severity of the injuries.

Several other charges are pending, police said, due to an active court order that was in place at the time of the incident.

Labarr currently faces one count of first-degree assault.

Members of the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Canandaigua Fire Department, and Canandaigua Emergency Squad responded and assisted with the investigation.
