The Syracuse Crunch (8-8-2-2) snapped a three-game skid on Saturday evening with a 3-1 victory over the Toronto Marlies (12-7-1-0) at the Coca-Cola Coliseum.
The game was tied at one after two periods of play, but Syracuse scored two goals late in the third period, one of which was an empty-netter to secure the win.
Alex Barre-Boulet, Felix Robert, and Cole Koepke found the back of the net for the Crunch. Shawn Element, Gemel Smith, and Declan Carlile collected assists. Max Lagace made 26 saves, including 13 in the final period.
Syracuse went 1-for-3 on the power play and 3-for-4 on the penalty kill.
The Crunch will get a few days off before they return to the ice and take on the Rochester Americans on Wednesday night at the Blue Cross Arena. Puck drop is slated for 7 p.m.
