The Syracuse Crunch (7-8-2-2) were unable to get back in the win column on Friday as they dropped their third straight with a 6-4 loss to the Belleville Senators (9-9-1-0) at CAA Arena.
Syracuse tied the game at three five minutes into the final period, but Belleville struck back with two consecutive goals to regain the lead and held on for the victory.
Gemel Smith, Jack Thompson, Jack Finley, and Gabriel Dumont scored for the Crunch. Gabriel Fortier collected a pair of assists. Hugo Alnefelt started in net and stopped 26-of-31 shots.
Syracuse went 1-for-3 on the power play and 1-for-2 on the penalty kill.
The Crunch will be back in action on Saturday as they head to Toronto to take on the Marlies at Coca-Cola Coliseum. Puck drop is set for 4 p.m.
