The Syracuse women’s basketball team (5-2) trailed by as many as 21 points and cut it to five before falling to Purdue (7-1), 87-78, on Wednesday night at Mackey Arena.
The Orange were led by Teisha Hyman, who scored a season-high 26 points. Two other players finished in double figures as Asia Strong recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Dyaisha Fair added 16 points.
