The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team (3-4) was unable to snap their skid on Tuesday night as they fell to the Illinois Fighting Illini (6-1), 73-44, at the State Farm Center.

Syracuse trailed by seven at the half but couldn’t get much going on offense as they were outscored 43-21 in the second half.

Jesse Edwards fouled out with just under four minutes remaining in regulation, and shortly after that, Benny Williams received a double technical and was ejected.

Edwards finished one point shy of a double-double as he netted nine points and grabbed 17 rebounds. Judah Mintz also finished with nine points, while Williams and Chris Bell added eight.
