The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says one of its cruisers were involved in a two-car crash Friday evening in the town of Palmyra.
According to a news release, the patrol car was southbound on Newark-Marion Road when it struck a vehicle pulling out of a driveway around 7:20 p.m.
No injuries were reported in the vehicle coming out of the driveway. However, the deputy was sent to Newark_Wayne Community Hospital with minor injuries.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reconstruction team responded to the scene to investigate. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Wayne County ALS, Finger Lakes EMS, Western Wayne EMS, East Palmyra Fire Department, and Marion Fire Department all responded to the scene.
