Victor Town Supervisor Jack Marren will not seek another term as chair of the Ontario County Board of Supervisors.
At November’s regularly scheduled meeting Marren announced that after 10 years in the post he will not seek the leadership term again in 2023.
It opens the door for new leadership on the board.
“I look forward to serving the new chairperson and supporting him or her in any way I can,” he said after announcing he wouldn’t seek another. “I thank you for your support over the years.”
Marren isn’t stepping away from his elected duties, though. He will remain as town supervisor in Victor.
The next chair of the Ontario County Board will be chosen at the annual reorganizational meeting held January 5th.
