The Syracuse Orange football team (7-5) snapped a five-game skid with a 32-23 win over the Boston College Eagles (3-9) on Saturday night at Alumni Stadium.
Syracuse trailed 10-6 after three quarters and 17-6 early in the fourth, but the offense woke up and responded with three consecutive touchdowns, taking a double-digit lead. The Eagles added a late touchdown, but Syracuse held on for the much-needed victory.
Garrett Shrader completed 21-of-27 passes for 285 yards and two touchdowns. Sean Tucker carried the ball 21 times for 125 yards and two scores. Damien Alford and Devaughn Cooper each caught touchdown passes. Oronde Gadsen led all receivers with 106 yards.
