Investigators at the state and local level couldn’t find anything linking people impacted by a salmonella outbreak.
It started over the summer, according to reporting by The Citizen. They spoke with health officials at the county and state level.
The investigation into the outbreak remains active. Several local residents from the area, including Cayuga County, required medical treatment.
However, the source has yet to be identified, which has left many uncertain.
There have been a total of 29 confirmed cases of salmonella so far this year in Cayuga county.
