Rochester woman locks herself inside car after being told she’s under arrest in Wayne County

Deputies report the arrest of a Rochester woman following a traffic stop in Ontario.

Sequita Wright, age 34, of Rochester was charged with one count of obstruction and one count of resisting arrest.

The charges stem from a stop in Ontario where Wright was ordered to exit her vehicle to effectively remove snow from it. She refused and deputies determined her driving privileges were suspended in New York.

She then locked herself inside the vehicle and shifted it into drive in an attempt to leave the scene. This occurred after deputies told her she was under arrest.

Wright was ultimately removed from the vehicle and arrested. She was issued appearance tickets for a later date.
