Christmas tree season is here.
It officially kicked off for New York State as Agriculture and Markets Commissioner Richard Ball visited Stokoe Farms to help cut down the 9-foot tree that will be displayed at the Finger Lakes Welcome Center in Geneva.
The ceremony was intended to promote New York’s Christmas tree farms.
“For all of us in New York state, local also means local economies,” Ball said. “When we do business with ourselves, when we do business locally, we increase our local economy.”
