Earlier this month the fourth annual Wayne County Kick Start Business Pitch competition was held in Newark at the Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES conference center.
That competition, which featured four local finalists, showcased early-stage companies with less than three years in business. They pitched to a panel of five judges, who asked questions and scored the pitch based on presentation.
This year’s winner was the Fairville Baker, founded by Greg Stachowicz, who scored $20,000 in startup funds. He was in-studio today on Finger Lakes Today discussing that win, as well as his roots in food.
