Clyde man charged in fraud investigation involving social services

Deputies arrested a Clyde man following an investigation into fraud that involved social services.

Michael Sakowski, age 60, of Clyde was charged with petit larceny and misuse of food stamps.

The charges stem from an investigation into a fraud complaint where Sakowski was receiving SNAP benefits through Wayne County DSS and did not report his income properly.

As result, Sakowski fraudulently received $690 in benefits illegally.

Sakowski was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charges at a later date.
