The NFL announced on Thursday that Sunday’s game between the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills has been moved from Highmark Stadium to Ford Field in Detroit due to a snowstorm scheduled to hit Western New York.
Beginning Thursday night and through Saturday, the Buffalo area is expected to be hit with a lake-effect snowstorm that could drop upward of four feet of snow, according to The Weather Channel.
The decision to move the game was done in consultation with the Bills and local and state authorities as the region prepares for the storm.
The game will be televised on CBS at 1 p.m. as part of its regularly scheduled broadcast.
