On Wednesday it was reported that a Russian made missile landed in Poland, killing two, but it appears it came from Ukraine.
Both Poland and NATO have expressed that they believe the missile was not from Russia nor was it an intentional attack on a NATO country. It is believed that Ukraine launched the Russian made missile to fight off a Russian air assault.
Polish President Andrzej Duda explained that Ukraine’s defense was launching their missiles in different direcions and one landed in Poland, killing two people. NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg agreed that that was what most likely happened.
When the missile landed Tuesday, U.S. officials said preliminary assessments showed the missile was fired by Ukraine. Ukraine has stocks of Soviet and Russian made weapons, including missiles according to CNY Central.
