A piece of land on North Road in the Town of Waterloo may be annexed, increasing the size of the Village of Waterloo.
According to the Finger Lakes Times a new law was introduced by the Town Board that could allow this to happen. The land is currently not used by anyone.
On November 28 there will be a public hearing about the proposal at 7 p.m. at the town office. The office is located at 66 Virginia Street.
The parcel of land is 2.56 acres and close to the intersection of Church Street. The process would not cost the town or village anything. If it goes through, the land will be used for a new water storage tank in 2023.
