Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Rochester is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Huels as board chair.
“Chris has been an integral part of our board for the past nearly three years and we are thrilled to have him now lead as board chair,” Chief Executive Officer Lisa Mattoon said. “Since he joined the board, Chris has been a thoughtful contributing member, helping to strategically support our organization through the most challenging times during the pandemic. He is a smart, driven and well-connected leader and we are excited to have him help Big Brothers Big Sisters continue to build awareness for our organization.”
Huels is the vice president, ventures at Constellation Brands in Victor, NY. Over the past 11 years at Constellation Brands he has utilized his strategic leadership in various roles including marketing, sales and commercial strategy. Before joining Constellation Brands, he was employed by Bausch & Lomb in Rochester, NY, for four years where he served as brand manager and senior brand manager. He also held various brand marketing positions at Cadbury Adams in Parsippany, NJ, where he was employed for four years. Huels attended State University of New York at Buffalo where he received a Bachelor of Arts in communications, and Montclair State University Graduate School of Business where he received a Master of Business Administration.
In addition to his volunteerism with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Huels coaches youth soccer, basketball and flag football. He resides in Pittsford, NY, with his family.
