The winners of the Rawlings Platinum Glove Awards, given to the best defensive player in both the American League and National League, were announced Friday.
Yankees catcher Jose Trevino won the Platinum Glove in the AL, while Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado took home the honor for the sixth consecutive year in the NL.
Trevino led all Major League catchers with 21 defensive runs saved in 2022, tied for third among all position players.
The 30-year-old is also the first Yankees player and the first AL catcher to win this award since it debuted in 2011.
Trevino also won his first Gold Glove and made his first All-Star team.
