Inflation has taken a toll on millions of Americans, and with the holidays approaching it’s going to be hard for families.
Buying food for holiday dinners will be expensive this year, so Foodlink will be doing more to help struggling families. The need for emergency food always increases during the holidays, even without inflation. This means Foodlink will be increasing how much it distributes their holiday food boxes.
Every box contains fresh and healthy foods for families. Many have produce, chicken, or dairy products, all of which are much more expensive right now.
The pantries through Foodlink plan to give out around 100,000 more holiday meals each month compared to last year, according to 13 WHAM.
Foodlink is always accepting donations so they can provide as much food as possible to families in need.
