Friday will be Veteran’s Day, which honors armed forces that have served in the United States.
There are a lot of businesses and entities that will remain closed in honor of Veteran’s Day on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022.
Here are places that will be closed for Veteran’s Day
According to My Twin Tiers, due to it being a federal holiday, many schools and federal offices will remain shut.
This includes post offices. If there is something you need shipped immediately, you can visit UPS or FedEx, where both facilities remain open during this holiday.
Banks and credit unions will be closed throughout the U.S. because most are federal entities. Some branches could remain open, like the ones located in grocery stores. It’s best to call and check.
ATMs and mobile banking apps will still be available, but processing times may take longer due to the holiday.
Many schools will be closed to observe the holiday, but you should double check to be sure. In addition, nonessential government offices will be closed as well.
Most retailers and restaurants remain open, but they may change their hours in honor of the holiday. They may also offer discounts for veterans and active military members.
Finally, national parks will be open and offer free entry.
