Shortsville man faces felony charges due to previous DWI conviction

Police arrested a Shortsville man on November 4th following a sick or intoxicated person investigation.

Police were called to Eastern Boulevard for a sick or intoxicated driver. Upon arrival, they found Thomas Wirth, 71, of Shortsville, who was in an intoxicated condition.


Due to a previous conviction, Wirth was arrested for felony DWI.

He had a previous conviction in 2015, which elevated the DWI charge to a felony.

Wirth was released to answer the charges at a later date.
