President Joe Biden was asked if he believed the Twitter acquisition was worthy of a federal investigation, he answered that it was worthy of being looked at.
According to CNY Central, a reporter asked Biden at a press conference if he felt that Musk was a threat to security. They also asked if his joint acquisition of Twitter with foreign governments was worth an investigation.
“I think that Elon Musk’s cooperation and/or technical relationships with other countries is worthy of being looked at,” Biden said.
Biden added he wasn’t suggesting that Musk was doing anything inappropriate, but that it was just worth being looked at.
Musk finally acquired Twitter on Oct. 28 after a long legal battle.
Researchers have found that in order for Musk to get Twitter, he needed other investors. These individuals that invested apparently have links to China, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
In addition, Tesla has only grown more dependent on China and its government.
