Sabres open homestand with 4-1 loss to Coyotes

The Buffalo Sabres opened their four-game homestand on Tuesday night and fell to the Arizona Coyotes 4-1. Buffalo has dropped three consecutive games, falling to 7-6-0 on the season.

Tage Thompson scored the lone goal for the Sabres in the second period on the power play, his eighth of the season. Rasmus Dahlin and Jack Quinn collected assists. Eric Comrie turned aside 20-of-23 shots.

Buffalo went 1-for-4 on the power play and 2-for-3 on the penalty kill.

The Sabres will try to get back in the win column on Thursday when Jack Eichel and the Vegas Golden Knights come to town.
