Cayuga Milk Ingredients is growing.
The company announced that its dairy processing facility is moving forward on a big expansion that will add over 70 jobs.
Cayuga Milk Ingredients has purchased several pieces of land from the Cayuga County IDA, which clears way for the project.
The total value of the expansion is said to be around $150 million. There will be two new raw milk receiving bays, as well as upgrades to infrastructure that will allow an extra 350,000 gallons to be treated per day.
“Cayuga is strong and profitable, with a long history of growth and transition,” explained CMI Chairman Neil Rejman. “We’re looking forward to the future with ambitious projects, like aseptic, that let us build on the dependable people and progress we have developed over the last eight years.”
The company currently employs 91 people.
