The Syracuse Crunch snapped a five-game skid with a 4-0 victory over the Charlotte Checkers on Saturday night at Bojangles Coliseum. With the win, the Crunch improved to 2-8-0 on the season.

Declan Carlile scored twice for Syracuse, while Darren Raddysh and Simon Ryfors also found the back of the net. Alex Barre-Boulet, Gage Goncalves, Lucas Edmonds, and Sean Day collected assists.

Hugo Alnefelt turned aside all 28 shots he faced to earn his first AHL shutout.

Syracuse went 0-for-3 on the power play and a perfect 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.

The Crunch will get a few days off before they begin a three-game homestand, starting Wednesday night against the Rochester Americans.
