Cases of the flu reach over 200 in one week for Monroe County

The New York State Flu Tracker has revealed that there are now 214 cases of the flu in Monroe County.

For Monroe, there are 213 cases of Type A and only one of Type B.

Wayne County has 7 cases, with 6 being Type A and 1 being Type B.

Cayuga has 3 cases, with 2 being Type A and 1 being Type B.

Tompkins has 27 cases of Type A.


Schuyler has 2 cases, one of each type.

Steuben has 22 cases of Type A.

Livingston has 5 cases of Type A and 1 case of Type B.

Ontario has 9 cases of Type A.

Onondaga has 14 cases of Type A and 2 of Type B.

These cases are all for the week ending on October 29, 2022. In all there were 3,476 cases detected statewide this week, a 129% increase from the previous week. To date there have been 6,675 cases detected.

New York City area has the most cases right now with Kings County leading by 434 cases, most of which are Type A.

North Country has very few cases, with a few counties have 0.
