The Buffalo Sabres had their three-game win streak snapped on Friday night at PNC Arena with a 5-3 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. With the loss, Buffalo drops to 7-4-0 on the season.
The game was tied at two after one period of play, but Carolina grabbed the lead in the second and added two more in the third to secure the victory.
Jacob Bryson, Victor Olofsson, and Rasmus Dahlin scored in the loss. Olofsson became the seventh player in franchise history to record at least nine goals through the team’s first 11 games. Jack Quinn tallied two assists, and Kale Clague recorded his first point with the Sabres. Craig Anderson stopped 28-of-32 shots.
Buffalo went 1-for-5 on the power play and 3-for-4 on the penalty kill.
The Sabres will try to bounce back on Saturday in Tampa when they face the Lightning at 7 p.m.
