Police arrested a 27-year-old Canandaigua man on a felony charge following a disturbance earlier this month in the city.

Thomas Daniels, 27, is accused of shoving a person who had an active court order in place.

The court order prevented contact between Daniels and the victim.

The incident took place on Phoenix Street, according to police, who said Daniels was charged with first-degree criminal contempt.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
