The Ithaca Fire Department spent a large chunk of the morning at a structure fire that was reported to first responders during the early morning hours in the city.
IPD says that around 4:12 a.m. officers responded to the 100 block of Blair Street for a structure fire.
Upon arrival, they found all residents had evacuated.
IFD responded to the scene and put out the fire.
Initial investigation deemed that the fire was accidental. There was substantial damage to the building and living quarters, as result of the fire.
IPD asks the public to contact them with any information that might help with the investigation as it remains active.
