There are a few things to keep in mind when celebrating the holiday with pets.

Luckily there aren’t always fireworks or alcohol involved in the holiday, but there are still things that could stress your pet out.

Here are a few pet safety tips to help keep your animal safe during Halloween

According to My Twin Tiers, there are some things to keep in mind if you like to dress your pet up for Halloween.

Should you dress them, be sure your pet’s costume fits them properly. Be sure it doesn’t restrict their mobility.

Also make sure the costume has no small pieces your pet could chew off and choke on.

If you’ll be getting trick or treaters on Halloween night, make sure your pet isn’t near them.

Find a safe space away from them inside of your home where they can be protected and free from stress.

If you have candy or holiday treats out, keep them out of reach of pets and stored safely away.

Chocolate and raisins are poisonous to pets. There is also an ingredient called xylitol that can be found in some candy and is poison for animals as well.
