Crunch edged by Marlies in OT, 4-3

The Syracuse Crunch fought their way back in the third period and forced overtime before falling, 4-3, to the Toronto Marlies on Friday night at the Upstate Medical University Arena. With the loss, Syracuse dropped to 1-5-0 on the season.

Alex Barre-Boulet netted back-to-back goals in the third period to tie the game. Those were his first and second of the season. Trevor Carrick scored the other goal, which was his second of the season.

Max Lagace turned aside 33-of-37 shots in the loss.

Syracuse went 0-for-3 on the power play and 5-for-6 on the penalty kill.

The Crunch will try to get back in the win column on Saturday when they host the Cleveland Monsters at 7 p.m.
