Crunch allow five third-period goals in loss to Marlies

The Syracuse Crunch fell to the Toronto Marlies, 5-3, on Wednesday night at Coca-Cola Coliseum. With the loss, the Crunch dropped to 1-4-0 on the season.

Syracuse led 1-0 after two periods, but fell apart in the third period and was outscored 5-2.

Simon Ryfors, Gemel Smith, and Felix Robert netted goals for the Crunch. Daniel Walcott tallied two assists. Max Lagace stopped 31-of-35 shots before being pulled for the extra attacker.

Syracuse went 1-for-4 on the man advantage and 3-for-5 on the penalty kill.

These two teams will meet again on Friday night at the Upstate Medical University Arena. The puck drop is slated for 7 p.m.
