Deputies report the arrest of a Romulus man following a traffic stop.
The traffic stop was prompted by a sick or intoxicated driver complaint, which was received by the 911 Center, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
The operator, identified as Jeffrey Wadhams, 31, of Romulus was subsequently found to be intoxicated after a traffic stop.
Deputies say they detected signs of intoxication, which resulted in Wadhams failing field sobriety tests.
He submitted to a breath test and was charged with DWI, driving with a BAC over 0.08%, unregistered vehicle, and unsafe lane change.
The charges will be answered in city court at a later date.
