The Syracuse Orange football team (6-1) suffered its first loss of the season, falling 27-21 to the Clemson Tigers (8-0) on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium.
Syracuse took advantage of Clemson’s first-half turnovers and led 21-10 at halftime. However, it was a completely different second half as the Orange struggled to move the ball up the field and were hurt by penalties.
Syracuse did have an opportunity to at least tie the game late, but Garrett Schrader threw an interception at the Clemson 30-yard line with 26 seconds remaining.
