Port Byron man arrested after shots fired investigation in Conquest: No injuries reported, but felony charges filed

State police say a Port Byron man was arrested after they investigated a ‘shots fired’ complaint in the town of Conquest.

Walter Silensky, 55, of Port Byron was arrested for felony criminal contempt, criminal mischief, and endangering the welfare of a child.


Details of the shots fired incident were not released. However, troopers confirmed that Silensky was responsible for firing the shots on Aldrich Road in Conquest.

He was transported to the Cayuga County Jail for arraignment.
