One person is dead after being found in the Renwick Gorge late-Wednesday.
Police are calling it an ‘unattended death’ in the gorge. The circumstances that led to the death are unclear at this point in the investigation.
First responders were called to the gorge around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. After arriving, they determined that a rope team would be needed to get the person out.
Bangs Ambulance and Cayuga Heights fire and police responded.
The rescue took around 45 minutes to complete, according to first responders.
