Two officials in the Waterloo Central School District had raises approved by an 8-1 vote at a recent board meeting.

The Waterloo school board approved raises for Superintendent Terri Bavis and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Jennifer Hayden.

Each received 4% salary increases, which were retroactive to July 1st.

Bavis’ salary will increase from $174,616 to $181,600. Her raise was approved by an 8-1 vote. Board member Andrea Bennett voted against it.

Hayden’s salary will increase from $113,372 to $117,906. That raise was approved by a 7-1 vote. Bennett was opposed, and board member Ray Grifa abstained due to being related to Hayden.
