Sabres open road trip with win over Oilers

The Buffalo Sabres opened their four-game road trip with a 4-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night at Rogers Place.

Rasmus Dahlin, Tage Thompson, JJ Peterka, and Alex Tuch netted goals. Casey Mittelstadt, Jeff Skinner, Vinnie Hinostroza, and Dylan Cozens recorded assists.

Eric Comrie earned his first career win with the Sabres after turning aside 46-of-48 shots. He made 22 saves in the third period alone.

Buffalo went 1-for-4 on the power play and a perfect 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.

The Sabres will face the Calgary Flames on Thursday at 9:30 p.m.
