The Yankees’ season all comes down to one game. The ALDS shifts back to New York tonight after the Guardians and Yankees split the two games. Paul Russo and Kyle Evans recap the weekend that saw some of the yearlong storylines pop up for the Bronx Bombers.
In Friday’s Game Two action, Nestor Cortes was spot on, but couldn’t get the decision as the Yankees fell. Paul and Kyle discuss the game in which the offense was an overall non-factor. Game Three on Saturday fared no better as the Yankees lost once again. Saturday saw much more negativity as fielding blunders and bullpen decisions derailed the conversation. Game Four saw a huge victory and another ace performance from Gerrit Cole. The guys discuss overcoming the down Saturday to rebound and force a Game Five tonight.
Paul and Kyle preview Game Five which will see Aaron Civale get the start for Cleveland and Jameson Taillon start for the Yankees. They will also look not too far ahead to the ALCS which begins on Wednesday in Houston.
