CDC recommends masking for Cayuga, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates counties due to ‘high’ COVID transmission

Late last week the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended masking in a dozen counties across New York State.

This due to rising transmission of COVID-19.

Among those counties in our region included in the elevated category are Cayuga, Ontario, Onondaga, Oswego, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates counties.

The CDC says people in areas of high transmission should stay up to date on vaccines, wear a mask indoors, and get tested if you show symptoms.
